Quite possibly the most exciting web-ccessory (yes I just made that up, now spread the term globally) that I have stumbled upon in quite some time is Jott.com. (thanks carrel) Here comes the testimonial: Through Jott I now no longer need to speedily fly through the alphabet on my tiny cell phone keypad. I can just simply hold down the speed dial that I have set for the Jott phone number and presto. As soon as I call “Jott” recognizes my phone number and accesses the contact list that I have loaded online. It asks me, “Who do you want to Jott? And I simply reply with a one word answer, Jott repeats my answer by asking if it is correct, I say Yes. And a “BEEP” occurs. Then I say what I need to say, wait for the pleasant robot lady to say “Got It!” And I hang up. That easy! I don’t have to type in a password or my phone number or anything. They take care of it all. And my message is sent to the recipients email inbox and their text message inbox. So amazing. This is especially fantastical because I completely despise seeing people texting while driving, makes me want to get out of my car and smack the phone out of their hands at stoplights. It’s seriously so dangerous to text and drive. So stop it! And start using Jott!
Now notice that Jott is still in beta. (which for all you non-nerdisans that means it’s undergoing a trial and testing period) So therefore there can be a small snag here or there, but so far it’s flawless. And another key element to it’s greatness… it’s free! And we can all clasp our hands together and pray to God that it stays that way upon launch.
Okay, so this successful step forward in technologicalness ( I enjoy making up words.) brings us closer to my one true desire with cell phones. And… VOICE MAIL. For the past two years I have been thinking out loud about my frustration with voice mail. I hate calling and checking them and listening through very lengthy (most always) messages. Most days I don’t have time for it. It’s not that I don’t want to hear your lovely voices but when I am in business mode it can slow my progress waaay down. And of course with my frustration of having a full mailbox everyday so progresses the frustration of others attempting to put their finger on me and figure out what I’m doing and where I am at. I have been trying to find someone to help me come up with the behind the scenes to make my dreams come true on this. I need someone to invent the ability for a computer to retrieve my voice mails and convert them to text and shoot them over via email. That’s it. That simple. I know I’m putting this out there for all to read, but I don’t care, make my idea happen and cut me in on your profits. And if anyone knows of something like this that already exists stop holding out on me!
So for now, embrace Jott.com it is your friend and mine. And makes connecting that much easier in this crazy growing period called Social Media. Aside from text messages and emails there is a whole lot more to Jott. You can leave yourself messages, set time oriented reminders… add items to a to-do-list. Oh I almost forgot, one more plus to Jott. You have the option to set up a group online with all the contacts included and just send one message to all of them! This works out great with band practice and also telling your family what you are up to. There’s a plethora of ease to add to your day with Jott.
(This is strictly my opinion I am not paid to discuss this service.)

Once again my brotha, I got your back. Check out http://www.callwave.com. Then look at voicemail text. I’ve been using it for months and it works incredibly!! For Mac users, it also has it’s own widget which rocks!
